Feng Lingran’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, and a strange cold light flashed, “So what if this is the Southern Lin Dynasty? As long as I want to do it, no one can stop me.”
“Really?” She sneered, “I’m looking for it”.
Suddenly, the shadow fell down like huge demonic beasts. “Xi Er” was shocked. Her scalp became numb. When she wanted to escape, her neck was strangled again. This time, it was not strangled across the air. She could clearly feel his fingers pierced into her soft skin, and his nails just pressed against her arteries. This was an extremely dangerous movement.
“Xi Er” couldn’t move. Looking at the man in close distance, his handsome was strange and cold. The cold breath came out from his lips and blew on her face.
“Don’t think that you are very clever. Trying to provoke me? If I want you dead, I can do that with just a finger.”
“Xi Er” pursed her lips and did not speak. Those eyes that looked very stubborn like Xiao Xi’s eyes stared at Feng Lingran’s eyes.
Feng Lingran frowned slightly. Looking at “Xi Er’s” eyes, his eyes were darker. After a while, his thin lips opened, and he said coldly, “You really shouldn’t have that little beast’s expression on your face. It will give me the urge to kill you.”
After he spoke!
Feng Lingran loosened the neck of “Xi Er”. He took out a clean handkerchief to carefully wipe his fingers as if an annoying bacteria had made his fingers dirty. After wiping, he threw the handkerchief.
“Xi Er” got up from the ground. She endured the pain on her neck and carried Nan Gongmo, whose acupuncture was being locked. She left without turning her head.
Ling Er still wanted to bite Feng Lingran again. He cast his cold gaze at Ling Er which made it fluff up. Those dark eyes were staring angrily at Feng Lingran as if he had done something unforgivable.
“Ling Er, let’s go.”
“Xi Er” saw Ling Er not going out, and she glanced into the room again. Fearing that Feng Lingran would hurt Ling Er again, she cried out.
*Squeak* After Ling Er shouted Feng Lingran, he turned around and disappeared behind “Xi Er”.
Feng Lingran looked at the disappearing back of “Xi Er”, and the mysterious dark eyes seemed like a bottomless black abyss.
After “Xi Er” left for a while, Feng Lingran took back his gaze. He walked to the door. When he closed the door, his slender fingers were a little white. The temperature of his fingertips was getting colder and colder as if the skin was covered with a thin layer of frost.
Southern Lin Dynasty, East Palace.
At first dawn, Nan Gongyin heard a scream from the next room. He suddenly opened his eyes and glanced at the quiet girl sleeping next to him. His eyes appeared a little bit pampered, and his jade-like fingers gently stroked her warm and white cheeks twice. He got up and put on his robe, then he strode out of the room.
“Crown prince, the empress is awake.” The guard saw Nan Gongyin coming out and said respectfully.
Nan Gongyin walked past the guard and strode toward his bedroom.
“Empress, empress, don’t run around. I will not hurt you. You have just woken up, and your body is still very weak. If you bump into something, I can’t explain to His Highness.”
Qiu Lan was anxious. She didn’t expect that the former empress would be this after waking up. She was like a frightened child.
When Nan Gongyin entered the room, he saw this scene. The former empress had messy hair and untidy clothes, hiding from Qiu Lan in fear.
“Your Highness, empress… She seems to be in a problem.”
When Qiu Lan saw Nan Gongyin, her heart trembled. Before she finished speaking, tears were falling down. Not sure whether it was because of worrying about the former empress or because Nan Gongyin was married.
How would Nan Gongyin bother about Qiu Lan’s emotions? His eyes quickly fell to the former empress who was hiding. He was both happy and distressed. He said with emotion, “Mother.”
The former empress was like a frightened person. Hearing Nan Gongyin’s voice, she looked at Nan Gongyin tremblingly.
“Mother, I’m Yin’er.”
Nan Gongyin tried to approach the former empress, taking every step very carefully, for fear that the former empress would be frightened and left from him.
This was his mother! The mother who had “slept” for so long in the imperial tomb and finally woke up.
The former empress looked at Nan Gongyin’s picturesque face, and she didn’t flee immediately as if she was carefully identifying something.
Nan Gongyin walked in front of the former empress, feeling very excited. He slowly grabbed the hand of the former empress and placed it on his face, letting her palm feel the temperature of his cheek, “Mother, do you remember me? I’m your Yin’er?”
The fingers of the former empress trembled and tears shed in her eyes, “Yin’er, Yin’er.”
Nan Gongyin cried with joy and embraced the former empress, “Mother, do you know how long has Yin’er been waiting for this day?”
In the wedding room, the slender eyelashes of the girl on the bed trembled. She rubbed her eyes and slowly woke up. She didn’t see Nan Gongyin beside her, so she frowned, got up from the bed, and walked out the door.
The sun was dazzling when it shone on her face. She raised her hand to cover her face.
“Nan Gongyin, Nan Gongyin…”
Xiao Xi called Nan Gongyin’s name. She was a little anxious about not seeing him after waking up early in the morning.
In this place, she only knew Nan Gongyin, but no one.
“Princess, the prince is in the former empress room.”
The guard kindly reminded her. Seeing Xiao Xi looking at him stupidly, the guard was stunned. He pointed his hand to the bedroom next door.
Xiao Xi seemed to understand it. She ran over directly, pushed open the door, and saw Nan Gongyin’s figure. The anxiety in her heart dissipated, and a smile appeared on her face.
Qiu Lan saw Xiao Xi pushing the door very rudely, and her eyes flashed a hint of displeasure. Especially when Xiao Xi smiled brilliantly at Nan Gongyin, her heart seemed to be tightened. She felt uncomfortable as she couldn’t breathe.
“Xi’er.” Nan Gongyin heard Xiao Xi’s voice outside in the room, and he was not surprised to see Xiao Xi found him here. “Come here to greet mother.”
Nan Gongyin beckoned to Xiao Xi gently, teaching Xiao Xi what to do step by step.
Xiao Xi ran up and threw herself into Nan Gongyin’s arms. She pouted and said, “Don’t leave me alone in the room. I thought you were gone.”
Nan Gongyin’s heart seemed to be knocked by something. He felt numb all over his body. Feeling Xiao Xi hugging him tightly, Nan Gongyin’s heart was gradually softened. He raised his arm and held the little beauty in his arms, “I’m here! I will always be by your side.”
Such ordinary words were not sweet words, but they were better than sweet words when they came out of Nan Gongyin’s mouth.
Qiu Lan had never seen Nan Gongyin being so gentle and pampering anyone like this. He treated others gently, but he always kept a certain distance. It was just like the bright moon in the sky. The light was holy, but it couldn’t be reached with one’s hand. This was the difference between heaven and earth.
But why? Xiao Xi, this demon fox, could reach the sacred and inviolable “bright moon” in her heart?
Qiu Lan’s heart suddenly throbbed, and it was bleeding.
Suddenly, Xiao Xi in Nan Gongyin’s arms was pushed out. Nan Gongyin wanted to reach out to help. Someone held his hands tightly, and Xiao Xi was thrown to the ground heavily.
The former empress stared at Xiao Xi like a lioness, “Who are you? I forbid you to touch my Yin’er.”
Xiao Xi fell miserably, and her bones hurt. Her tears were falling; her red eyes looked at Nan Gongyin.
Nan Gongyin felt distressed, but he didn’t dare to push away the former empress’ hand. He could only explain, “Mother, she is Yin’er’s wife, your daughter-in-law.”
The former empress looked at Xiao Xi who was crying. She seemed to think of something as she let go of Nan Gongyin abruptly and went to help Xiao Xi on the ground. She said in a trembling tone and pale face, “I’m sorry; I’m sorry. I don’t know you are Yin’er’s wife. I thought you were going to hurt Yin’er, I really don’t know…”
The former empress also cried as she spoke. She was like a kid who did something wrong.
Xiao Xi was so frightened that she kept backing away. She was afraid that the former empress would push her again…
Nan Gongyin saw the former empress and Xiao Xi on the ground like two children, but these two were the most important people in his life. He bent down and helped the former empress up first, “Mother concubine, get up quickly. Xi’er will not blame you.”
The former empress looked at Nan Gongyin with tears.
Nan Gongyin nodded, coaxed the former empress, and picked up Xiao Xi from the ground again. Seeing Xiao Xi’s red eyes, for one moment, he really wished he could take the pain of falling down for her.
“Mother, your daughter-in-law is hurt from the fall. Yin’er will send her back to the room first.”
“En en, go quickly, go quickly.”
Nan Gongyin hugged Xiao Xi and walked out. The former empress looked at the door with a worried look.
Back in the room, Nan Gongyin put Xiao Xi on the bed and asked with concern, “Are you hurt? Let me see.”
Xiao Xi touched her elbow and looked at Nan Gongyin tearfully, “It hurts here.”
Nan Gongyin carefully raised her hand and pulled up her sleeves a bit, revealing a piece of broken skin on the elbow. There was a trace of blood, although it wasn’t bleeding so much, broken skin hurt more than broken flesh.
Nan Gongyin frowned and said in distress, “I will help you apply the medicine.”
Xiao Xi nodded.
After applying the medicine on the elbow, Nan Gongyin asked again, “Is there any injury on the back? Let me check it for you.”
Seeing Xiao Xi nodding, Nan Gongyin’s jade-like fingers pulled the lace around her waist. When he was about to take off her clothes, he suddenly paused.
“Xi’er, call me husband.”
Xiao Xi sniffed and said like a clever girl, “Husband.”
Nan Gongyin’s heart trembled fiercely. It was sweeter than eating honey, and his thin lips revealed a light smile.
When Xiao Xi’s clothes were about to be taken off, there was a knock on the door.
“Your Highness, the regent of the Eastern Jin Dynasty is here.”
The hurried voice of the guard sounded.
Nan Gongyin paused for a moment, and his dark eyes flashed across the darkness like a cold moon. He really came at the right time. “Let him wait.”
The guard glanced at Feng Lingran, who had already walked to his side, his face looked very unsightly, “But, the regent has already…”
Before the guards finished speaking, Feng Lingran kicked the door open. With a bang, the door fell to the ground and was torn apart.
